Maha Youssef
docente di Data Science di OPIT – Open Institute of Technology
Dr. Maha Youssef is an applied mathematician whose work bridges rigorous numerical analysis with modern machine learning applications. She earned her PhD in Applied Mathematics from the German University in Cairo, where her dissertation advanced Poly‑Sinc approximation methods for solving complex differential equations. Her research spans approximation theory, numerical methods for partial differential equations, stochastic differential equations, and data‑driven modeling, with a growing focus on integrating machine learning techniques into computational mathematics and scientific problem‑solving.
Over the past decade, Dr. Youssef has held academic and research positions across Egypt and Germany, contributing to both theoretical and applied mathematics. She served as scientific staff at the University of Greifswald, working on numerical methods and computational modeling, and later continued her academic engagement at the University of Stuttgart, where she expanded her work into machine learning applications and interdisciplinary teaching.
Dr. Youssef currently teaches mathematics, statistics, and machine learning as an Adjunct Associate Professor at UMGC Europe and an Adjunct Professor at OPIT – Open Institute of Technology. Her teaching philosophy emphasizes clarity, structure, and accessibility, aiming to help students build confidence in mathematical reasoning and understand how mathematical tools underpin modern computational and data‑driven technologies. She is committed to fostering interactive learning environments where students can connect abstract concepts with real‑world applications.
Her work reflects a deep dedication to advancing mathematical understanding while equipping learners with the analytical and computational skills needed in today’s rapidly evolving technological landscape
